"Truth is a pathless land."
-Jiddu Krishnamurti
"There is only one religion, though it goes by many names."
-George Bernard Shaw
Ironic, isn't it, that the Great Yoga -- Spiritual discipline of thousands of years -- has devolved down into something practiced in 50 minute sessions by girls wearing Lycra in hot rooms... the men trying to pick them up...
Ironic isn't it, the Great TaiJi has devolved from a thousands of years old spiritual discipline of Monks and Mountaintops into something practiced in hour-long sessions by people meeting in parks... to calm down...
Ironic isn't it, that Christianity, devolved from the spiritual discipline of love for one's neighbor and community, has become a judgmental and exclusionary force focused on martyrdom and self-sacrifice -- but only on Sundays...
To our mind, the perennial wisdom has been present from the beginning, and available to those who thirst for it. There's no single truth, and no single person or path to "follow." Because the truth is with us -- each of us -- between our breaths. And each of the teachers has indicated that the door to the infinite exists in each individual.
The truth is found in India, China, Japan and the Middle East. In South America, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. In North America, Russia and old England. Maybe you wear a Gi to practice. Perhaps a Robe. Maybe a Hakama. Perhaps you practice in street clothes -- or Lycra. It is not the Clothes, the Temple, the Church or the Teacher.
If you seek the truth; slow down and wait for it.
